OUR NEW UNIT OF INQUIRY- LIGHT AND DARK

Yesterday we started our new Unit of Inquiry: Light and Dark.

To get the children thinking about the differences between Day and Night, the teachers changed into their Pyjamas while the children were in the garden and when they came in they found us " sleeping " on the carpet! The children thought this was very funny and strange! As we hoped this started a group discussion about all the different things we do in the day time and at night time. But also some things that we want to know and learn about.

Pumpkin Time in Kinder B

Yesterday Mr. Damion Wallace came to play the Fiddle for us in Kinder! We sang all our favorite Nursery Rhymes. We had so much fun!

GREEN EGGS AND HAM

Yesterday we had an afternoon with Dr. Suess and his classic "Green Eggs and Ham", although we omitted the ham for religious reasons and allergies, it was still a very fun filled activity for all!

We read the book, watched the short cartoon and finally we made Green Eggs!!! The children LOVED the green eggs and wanted not only seconds but thirds!
