Bianca and Beatrice's Mom comes to visit Kinder!

On Tuesday, Natalia came to talk to us about her job as an Obstetrician! She showed us an ultrasound of a baby inside the Mommy's tummy and the equipment that she uses. Thank you Natalia!

Invitation for Parents, Family or Friends

Dear Parents,

We are just beginning a new unit called “The World of Work” where we will be studying the skills and attributes needed in different jobs and roles.
We would like to invite you into school to share your profession with Kindergarten. We have lots of interesting careers amongst us (Doctors, Lawyers, Mothers, Fathers, Policemen, Accountants, Actors and Journalists to name a few). If you would be willing to share your expertise with us (at a level appropriate for Kinder students) we would be very grateful.
Please let us know a time convenient for you to come and share.

Possible areas of discussion:
Showing any equipment you need/use
The name of your profession
Where you work
What you do in your daily routine
What you like about your profession
How you help people

Thanks a lot,
The Kinder team

Happy New Year

We would like to say Happy New Year to you all and hope that the holidays were full of fun for everyone!

Kindergarten has started our new Unit of Inquiry, "The World of Work" which will bring new adventures and learning experiences for us all.

We started the Unit off by talking about our homes and the roles of our family members. Who helps us at home? Who do we help?  And Why? How many people are in our families.

Later in the Unit we will be asking if you would like to come in and talk to the children about your job. We will send home more information about this at a later date.

Remember we still want Mystery Readers to come in and surprise the children, so please contact your teacher to organize!

See you soon,

The Kinder Team
