If you would like to talk to your children about our new unit these are some questions that we will be talking about in class as well:
What makes me special?
What makes me a good friend?
Why is it important to have friends?
How can you make friends?
Should we be friends with everyone?
We are excited about this new Unit. It fits in perfectly with the Kinder Years, as social and emotional growth and development are so very important! We are starting the Unit discussing why each of us are important and/or special as individuals, focusing on the fact that there is only one of us in this big world. From here we will move onto friendships and what being a good friend entails. We have some of our friends leaving in the upcoming weeks, moving on to other adventures and new friends arriving, so this is a perfect real life connection. Lastly we will look at the importance of being kind to all humans, regardless of whether we know them personally or not.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Thank you for your continued support,
The Kinder Team
