Our Final Unit of Inquiry: In the Garden

It's hard to believe that we have started our last Unit of Inquiry of the school year, What's in the Garden! The time has flown by so fast but this last Unit will be full of things to keep us busy!!

Central Idea:
There is a wealth of life around us

An Inquiry into:
  • Life in a garden

  • Role of Garden creatures

  • Our responsibility for the well-being of other living things

Here are a few questions that we will be using to drive the Inquiry of this Unit. Please feel free to talk to with your child while out and about in parks, beach or countryside!

What can we find underground, above-ground and in the air?
What are the characteristics of garden creatures?

What is the purpose of garden creatures?

How do the seasons affect garden life?
Why do plants and creatures needs each other?

We will be sending home a special friend with the children! The surprise guest will come home and stay the night with your family! Stay tuned for more information!
