New Unit

We are starting our new Unit of Inquiry- "What's in the Garden?" this week.

The Central Idea is:

Life is found above and below the ground.

An Inquiry into:

•    What is found in a garden
•    Garden creatures
•    Our responsibility for the well-being of other living things

If you are out and about on the weekend at the park or in your own garden, some questions you could ask your child to get them thinking about our unit, could be:

What is a garden made of?
How can you tell if something is living or not?
What do living things need to survive?
What can we find underground, above-ground and in the air?
How do minibeasts move?
What do minibeasts look like?
What are minibeasts purpose?

If you find any creepy crawly creatures and your child would like to bring it in to school, please do! We will examine it and then at the end of the day set it free!

This is an exciting Unit for both the teachers and the students, full of exploration and adventure!
